The Ministry of Justice has recently announced that it is changing the way that compensation payments will be calculated from 20 March 2017.
Courts use a specific calculation to determine the lump sum compensation that insurance companies should pay out under motor and liability policies to claimants who have suffered life-changing injuries. This calculation is changing and will mean that people with long life expectancies will see lump sum awards increase by 50%.
