Why do burglars love warm weather?

 

Because, we tend to leave windows open making it easy for them to slip in and out of your home or business premises, taking valuables and IT equipment.

So what to do?  I’m not suggesting you need to close all your windows so that you cook but you might like to think about the following:

  • Take a few extra minutes before leaving the premises for the day to check all windows.
  • Do the same when you go out of your house .
  • If you’re enjoying the back garden, make sure you’ve locked your front door and ground floor windows that are out of your sight.
  • At night, double check that ground floor windows and any others that are accessible are locked.
  • Don’t leave garage doors open when you are not nearby.
